The Parador de Cardona is an impressive medieval castle from the 9th century, walled, with wide stone walls, pointed arches, cobbled and vaulted courtyards, where its tower and Gothic-style church stand out. It offers splendid views of the Cadí mountain range, Pedraforca, Port del Comte, as well as the town of Cardona, the Salt Mountain and the green orchards of Cardener.

The hotel has a spa with sauna, a gym and a business centre for meetings. Its rooms are bright and elegantly decorated in warm colours. Some rooms offer beds with canopies, while others retain some of the original structure of the building, such as the vaulted arches.

Its restaurant offers traditional Catalan cuisine dishes such as cod with brandade, assorted Catalan cold meats, seafood broth and especially its grill, where the braised lamb shoulder stands out.
